Good song to pack to.
Can’t believe I missed their performance here. :’(
This one’s for you Mr C.!
As much as I’m looking forward to the evolution of the Library typology, I can’t help my fascination with libraries from the good old days. There’s just something about the way an encyclopedia ages; yellowed pages having been leafed through by a million different fingers. Or a tattered old Mills and Boon sitting forlornly on an old walnut shelf, waiting to be held again by a giggly teenager (who’d probably much rather bury her nose in the Twilight series).
I’ll never be able to cease comparing libraries of the past with those to come. Nothing beats the moment when rays from the setting sun fall through the endless rows of literature, catching tiny particles in the air before engaging in a silent dance together.
When was the last time you stepped into a library?

I love studying reinterpretations of Tropical Architecture and the trending topic on Sustainability. I have always had a fondness towards designs that aim to integrate nature with the built environment, be it using the strategy of bringing the green in or disintegrating hard surfaces and elements in order to allow nature to take place.
This particular project interests me because of what it attempts to embody. I just don’t think the creepy crawlies that come with the landscaping will be huge fans of the polished white interior.
Matt Pond PA’s Halloween never fails to tug at my heartstrings.
For H. Your presence helps me truly understand this piece.
